Just a few of the delights we have on our menu at the Lime Tree Café within Moorland Nurseries. The café was opened in the late summer of 2005 by the present proprietors, Nick & Alison Iles who are still actively involved in the business. Day to day running of the café is in the capable hands of Sheila Wilson and her team of almost 20 employees.

The interior is a mix of a light and airy conservatory and a cosier main dining area with Farrow and Ball paints and Lloyd Loom furniture.

Our menu has a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, light meals including sandwiches, salads and Paninis as well as our popular roast dinners. There’s also a daily changing specials menu which allows our chefs to demonstrate their creativity. Cakes, ‘tray bakes’ and desserts are in abundance for those with a sweet tooth.

‘We like to cook simple dishes with the sort of honest ingredients you’d use at home, all handcrafted into something rather special. We cook the classics like Lasagne or Salmon en Croute but like to experiment with bold new flavours also. Our Thai spiced Sweet Potato soup with Coconut & Lemongrass remains one of our bestsellers’.
